Emergencies regarding pets or wildlife can be directed to Duarte Animal Control at (626) 357-7938 during normal business hours. After business hours, please contact Temple Sheriff’s Station at (626) 448-9861.

If your pet is missing, please contact Duarte Animal Control at (626) 357-7938 during normal business hours. After business hours, please contact San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at (626) 286-1159. You can also visit their office at 851 E. Grand Ave, San Gabriel, CA 91776 Tuesday-Sunday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm or visit their website.

Animal Traps

Residents may purchase a trap from a retail vendor. The Duarte Animal Control Department will pick up the trapped animal and return the trap to you on the same business day. If you have trapped an animal during non-business hours residents may transport trapped animals to San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, CA 91776. Dead Animal Disposal

Residents may call Duarte Animal Control at (626) 357-7938 for service.

Service Fees

Stray dogs impounded by the City of Duarte Animal Control Department will be charged an animal impound fee.

Impound Fees

• 1st Impound: $60
• 2nd Impound: $80
• 3rd Impound: $100

Additional boarding fees will be applied if a dog owner is unable to claim their dog before the close of business hours.
