The Public Safety Commission works with staff in matters relating to law enforcement, crime prevention and control, code enforcement, animal control, and emergency preparedness.
Meetings are open to the public and held on the third Tuesday of each odd-numbered month at 7 PM in the Duarte Community Center.
Consists of five members, four of the members must be residents of the City; one of the members may be nominated by the Duarte Chamber of Commerce, the Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte Town Council, Office of the Los Angeles County Supervisor, or the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission or a resident of the unincorporated area within the Duarte Unified School District boundaries and one member shall be recommended by the Duarte Unified School District.
