In cooperation with VET CARE, the Duarte Public Safety Office has scheduled the annual, low-cost Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, June 8 from 8-10 AM at Encanto Park (777 Encanto Parkway).
Rabies vaccinations will be available for $15 each ($12 rabies vaccine + $3 medical waste disposal fee), microchip registration for $35, and other vaccinations will also be available upon request. Additionally, the option to purchase Duarte dog licenses will be available on-site.
Dog Licensing Fees:
- One Year, Unaltered = $60
- One Year, Spayed/Neutered = $25
- Senior citizens 65 years and older are eligible for one free dog license if the pet is spayed or neutered.
Avoid late fees and purchase your license by August 31, 2024. Rates, including a penalty after August 31st, are as follows:
- One Year, Unaltered = $120
- One Year, Spayed/Neutered = $85
If you cannot make this event, you may purchase your license at Duarte City Hall (1600 Huntington Drive), or at the Duarte Public Safety Office (1042 Huntington Drive). You may also register by mail. If you are paying by mail, please mail to the Duarte Public Safety Office, 1042 Huntington Drive, Duarte, CA 91010, the following:
- Proof of rabies vaccination (expiration date cannot expire before June 30, 2025)
- Proof of sterility (if the dog is spayed or neutered)
- Check or Money Order made payable to City of Duarte (NO CASH)
Remember, all dogs over the age of 4 months must be vaccinated for rabies to comply with state law. With the foothills in our backyard, the chance of your dog having contact with local wildlife is high.
