Looking to make a difference in your community? The City of Duarte encourages you to get involved and join an advisory commission!
The City will begin accepting applications beginning October 1 to fill 18 positions on its six City Commissions. Duarte citizens interested in serving on a commission will have until noon on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, to apply.
To tap into the diverse skills, experiences and interest within our community, the Duarte City Council and staff utilize several appointed commissions and committees to advise and make recommendations on issues that are crucial to our quality of life. Public involvement in these appointed advisory bodies is an important and valued part of City government. Engaged residents bring new ideas to the table and represent all of the diverse segments of our community, giving the input needed to help the City make the best, most informed and inclusive decisions possible.
