License Renewals, Changes and Payments

Business License Renewal Notices are mailed as a courtesy to each business approximately 30 days before the renewal date. It is the responsibility of the Business Owner to renew or update the status of the business.

When you receive a Renewal Notice, verify your business information:

  1. Business Name
  2. Current Address
  3. Business Description
  4. Number of Employees, if applicable
  5. No Longer Doing Business

Any changes to the business should be updated on the Renewal Notice. The "Amount Billed" on the Renewal Notice is the amount paid the previous year.

Payment is due by the last day of the month and is payable to City of Duarte. A penalty will be applied to payments received after the due date. If the end of the month falls on a Friday or weekend, payment is due by the last Thursday of the month. City Hall is open Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 6:00pm, closed on Fridays and weekends.

Please do not tape or staple check to the Renewal Notice. Payments must be postmarked on or before due date.

Pay By Phone

Call (626) 386-6811 and provide your business license number and payment information. Credit/debit cards with a MasterCard, Visa, or Discover logo are accepted.

Pay In Person

Payments are accepted during regular business hours, Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm (closed Fridays and holidays).
