Duarte’s Promise; The Alliance for Youth, the Duarte Neighborhood Watch Program, along with several local churches, businesses, schools and non-profits are teaming up to ensure a joyous 2018 Holiday season for hundreds of Duarte area families.
The City provides two different, fun-filled and easy ways to give during the holiday. The Neighborhood Watch Drive has helped families for over 30 years. Last year, Duarte Public Safety partnered with the Duarte Community Services Council, the Duarte Emblem Club, and the Duarte Elks Club to brighten the lives of over 500 youth who received toys and food. All new and unwrapped toys can be delivered up until Saturday, December 8, 2018 to the Duarte Public Safety Office located at 1042 Huntington Drive.
Annually, the “Holiday of Promise” project collects food, personal items and toy donations to help fill holiday baskets for less fortunate families in Duarte and the surrounding County area. All donations will be delivered to both the Duarte Community Services Council and the Foothill Unity Center for distribution to families. This year’s program will be from November 19th to December 13th.
