DUARTE CA, The Cities of Duarte and Irwindale invite residents, non-profits, churches and business owners of their respective communities to bring forward their concerns and ideas on homelessness during two outreach workshops. Entitled. a “Discussion on Homelessness” the next workshop will be conducted on Thursday, March 15 at the Duarte Community Center, 1600 Huntington Drive, Duarte. The event will begin at 5:30 pm with a light dinner followed by a community discussion from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.The first workshop with approximately 30 attendees occurred on Monday, February 26th at Irwindale City Hall.
Thanks to a joint, $60,000 planning grant received by Los Angeles County, the Cities of Duarte and Irwindale, together, are developing a long-term strategy to address homelessness issues in our areas. Ideas presented by the participants will be a guide to comprehensively and effectively address homelessness in both communities.
