Duarte Unveils Banners Celebrating Its 60th Anniversary

Cheers to 60 Years, the City’s yearlong anniversary celebration for the City of Duarte continues with the unveiling of 52 pole banners along Huntington Drive at intersections and a street banner across Buena Vista. The banner program features a combination of over 30 different contemporary and historical images of City parks, residents, facilities, the DHS Falcon Marching Band, the Gold Line and Citywide special events.

Duarte Marks its 60-Year History with A Series of “Route 66” Stencils along Huntington Drive

To celebrate both its 60 years of incorporation and connection to the famous U.S. Highway, the Duarte City Council, the Duarte Historical Society and local State officials Anthony Portantino and Blanca Rubio will dedicate one of several Route 66 logos recently stenciled onto the famous road during a brief ceremony at 9:15 am in front of the City’s Plaza located at 1553 Huntington Drive.
