2018-19 Budget Hearing Set for April 30th

The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the 2018 - 2019 budget process scheduled for April 30th and May 1st starting at 4:00 pm in the Duarte Community Center located at 1600 Huntington Drive. On an annual basis, the City of Duarte staff prepares the annual budget based on input from the community, council in addition to addressing new state and federal mandates.

Duarte will again host the Pasadena-Duarte NAACP’s local competition of the Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) for all high school youth, especially those of African American descent, on Saturday, April 28th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Duarte Senior Center located at 1610 Huntington Drive, Duarte, CA. The competition portion is free and open to the public beginning at 1:00 pm.

DUARTE GEARS UP FOR THE 22nd ROUTE 66 PARADE; VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

DUARTE, CA, March 1, 2018 – With the planning for Duarte's annual Route 66 Parade underway, residents and business owners are encouraged to volunteer for one of the City’s hallmark events. Persons are needed for such areas as parade logistics, VIP breakfast, application processing, fundraising and much more. The Route 66 Parade Committee will have their first planning committee meeting on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Elks Lodge, 2436 Huntington Drive, Duarte, CA 91010.
